Before college, Scott worked in construction, building passive solar structures. After graduating, he joined a small environmental engineering firm in New Jersey as a landscape designer, focusing on restoration and reclamation projects. He later worked for a national multidisciplinary firm in Minnesota, contributing to large, high-profile urban design, transit, and park projects before settling in Charlotte and continuing similar work.
Scott’s favorite aspects of landscape architecture are the environment, culture, and staff.
Outside of ODG, Scott and his wife raise heirloom chickens and Cashmere goats. They practice sustainable gardening and preserve food naturally. They also enjoy lure coursing, racing, and dock diving with their pack of sighthounds
